The filtering functionality in Apperio allows you to easily slice your data to quickly view your spend. You can filter your data on the following pages:
To filter apply a filter select the filter icon on the top right hand side of the page.
Select the date filter to view your spend over a chosen date range. The date range can be edited inside the filter “drawer” but is also always shown on the page and can be edited there.
You can quickly remove individual filters using the filter “drawer” or on the top of the page.
To remove all filters select the ‘CLEAR FILTERS’ button.
On the Dashboard you can filter the page directly by budgets or by folders. Since budgets are linked to folders these filters interact and you can only use one or the other at a time.
You can also filter by folder name, law firm, fee structure and any other matter property that you have configured for your business.
By default the filters are set to view all matters. To exclude or view only pass-through matters simply select the options at the bottom of the filters.

Starred Matters and other categories
You can star matters that you are interested in. To find your starred matters toggle the ‘starred matters only’ button to green.
You can apply filters to view a list of matters by a specific folder, law firm or client name. Use the drop down list to filter by practise group, matter type, fee structure or team.
You can now filter the matters page by client name.
If your business has multiple entities that sit under the organisation, filtering by client name allows you to quickly find your matters. You can search and select multiple client names using the drop down list to filter the page.
Click off client name to remove the filter.
Filter by matter owner using the drop down list. Using this you can find the matters assigned to you or assigned to others. Use ‘Unassigned’ to find matters that don’t have that property, in this case that have no matter owner, Filter by matter status or pass-through matters using the options at the bottom of the filters.
The Law Firm Page
You can filter from both the main law firm page and when you drill into a specific law firm. In addition the the date you can also filter by Folder, Matter Type, Fee Structure, Team and Pass-Through matters.
