Budgets in Apperio exist on two levels, the matter and folder level.
At the matter level each matter can have a budget set by the law firm or by the business. In Apperio, hourly matter budgets are monitored not just on billed invoices, but on the time recorded that is yet to be billed. This allows you to have a conversation with a law firm before budgets are exceeded. Once matters have been organised into folders, you can set budgets for them over a particular time period on the budgets page.
At the folder level you can set budgets at an aggregate level and by folder or subfolder. The budget pages provides and overview of the budgets that have been set in Apperio and allows the creation of new budgets and the management of existing budgets.
